Women's Basketball: William Woods 72, Central Baptist (Ark.) 57

Freshman guard Peyton Greenlee delivered a game-high 21 points to help the WWU Lady Owls complete an AMC-sweep of the Central Baptist Lady Mustangs on Saturday at Anderson Arena.

William Woods University (12-7, 9-5 American Midwest Conference) - which won at Central Baptist College 86-79 on Nov. 19 - led 11-9 after the first quarter Saturday and went into halftime with a 30-21 edge. The Lady Owls outscored the Lady Mustangs 19-9 in the third quarter to stretch their lead to 49-30.

Junior guard Jasmine Brown also supplied 13 points for William Woods, which shot 45 percent (27-of-60) from the field. Senior center Kennedy Volkart provided 12 points and sophomore guard Kailey Morris contributed 10.

Freshman guard Kaycee Gerald collected a game-high 12 rebounds to power the Lady Owls to a 41-33 advantage on the boards.

Emily Gardner countered with 18 points to direct the Lady Mustangs (4-14, 3-10), who shot 36 percent (22-of-61) as a team.

The Lady Owls travel to St. Louis to face AMC foe Missouri Baptist University at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. William Woods defeated Missouri Baptist 84-67 on Dec. 1 in Fulton.
