Volleyball: Missouri Valley 3, William Woods 1

The WWU Lady Owls' four-match winning streak came to an end in Wednesday night's 22-25, 25-8, 25-23 and 25-11 non-conference loss to the Missouri Valley Lady Vikings at Anderson Arena.

Senior middle blocker Stephanie Davis finished with eight kills to guide William Woods University (11-8), followed by freshman middle blocker Kira Krebill with seven. Senior outside hitter Victoria Day also had six kills.

Freshman libero Jessica Jensen topped the Lady Owls with 23 digs, while junior setter Brittney Engelbrecht provided 29 assists and 17 digs. Freshman libero Kayton Coffee contributed 10 digs.

William Woods travels to Freed-Hardeman (Tennessee) University for an American Midwest Conference match at 6 tonight. The Lady Owls then go to Arkansas for an AMC contest against Central Baptist College at 11 a.m. Saturday.
