Men's Soccer: Lindenwood-Belleville 2, William Woods 1

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Sebastian Reyes Tarrago tallied the game-winner with 1 second left in the second overtime as the No. 20 Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx stunned the WWU Owls on Wednesday night.

The loss was the second straight for William Woods University, which slipped to 7-3 on the season and 1-2 in the American Midwest Conference. Lindenwood University-Belleville improved to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in the AMC.

After a scoreless first half, senior midfielder Lendell Louis-Jacques logged an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute to put the Owls in front. Six minutes later, the Lynx tied the match on Andres Garza Rodriguez's unassisted goal.

Lindenwood-Belleville possessed a 28-14 advantage over William Woods in shots, including 14-7 in shots on goal. The Lynx also edged the Owls 6-3 in corner kicks.

William Woods junior goalkeeper Conor Cable came up with a season-high 12 saves.

The Owls return home for an AMC match against Williams Baptist (Arkansas) College at noon Saturday at Firley Field.
