Women's Golf: William Woods' Warren ties for second at Lady Redwolves Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. - WWU Lady Owls junior Katie Warren had a three-day, 6-over par 222 individual total to finish in a tie for second place at the Lady Redwolves Classic on Tuesday.

Warren shot a 74 on Sunday, 75 on Monday and 73 on Tuesday. She tied with Kirsten Garner (78-71-73) from Akansas State. Lily Downs from UTEP won the individual by shooting 2-over 218 (71-71-76).

No. 7 William Woods University shot 68-over 932 (314-308-310) to earn sixth place as a team.

Junior Megan Cullen shot 20-over 236 (83-76-77) to earn 27th. Junior Fumika Matsumoto (82-78-77) and freshman Jade Shellback (75-79-83) shot 21-over 237 to finish in a three-way tie for 28th with Mallory Sullivan (78-80-79) from Belmont University.

William Woods competes in the Columbia Cougar Classic on Monday at the Columbia Country Club.
