Women's Soccer: William Woods 5, Stephens 1

Senior midfielder Halle Schroeder delivered two goals Tuesday night as the WWU Lady Owls toppled the Stephens Lady Stars at Firley Field for their fourth straight AMC win.

Schroeder scored in the 19th and 54th minutes as William Woods University improved to 5-6-1 overall and 4-3 in the American Midwest Conference. Senior defender Renee Meyer (16th minute), sophomore forward Hailey LaCroix (17th), and junior midfielder Jaclyn Zilch (46th) also supplied goals for the Lady Owls.

William Woods dominated Stephens College (2-11, 0-8) with a 38-8 advantage in overall shots, including 17-4 in shots on goal. The Lady Owls also had five corner kicks to the Lady Stars' one.

William Woods remains at home for a match against AMC foe Central Baptist (Arkansas) College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
