Men's Soccer: William Woods' Alves earns All-American acclaim

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Junior forward Rodrigo Alves became the first player for the William Woods University Owls to be named an NAIA All-American honorable-mention choice on Tuesday.

Alves tallied a career-high 15 goals to lead the Owls in scoring this season with 32 points. He ranked 23rd and 42nd in the nation in both categories, respectively.

Alves was also a first-team all-American Midwest Conference selection and a CoSIDA academic first-team All-American.

William Woods ended the season with a 12-7 record and a 6-5 mark in the AMC.
