College Volleyball: William Woods' Engelbrecht receives All-American status

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Junior setter Brittney Engelbrecht earned Tachikara-NAIA All-American honorable-mention acclaim for the William Woods University Lady Owls on Tuesday.

Engelbrecht's 1,237 assists this season ranked her 27th in the nation. She also recorded 168 kills, 393 digs, 34 service aces and 27 blocks.

Englebrecht is second in school history with 3,893 career assists.

She is the fourth William Woods player to receive All-American recognition, joining Emily Becker, Skye Wade and Lacey Olin.

Engelbrecht also picked up AVCA-NAIA all-region honors this past season and was a first-team all-American Midwest Conference selection.

William Woods finished the season with a 21-14 record and went 8-4 in the AMC.
