Men's Basketball: Greenville 117, Westminster 98

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Westminster Blue Jays have lost three out of their last four games after losing a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game to the Greenville Panthers on Saturday.

Westminster (3-3, 1-1 SLIAC) trailed Greenville (6-2, 1-1) 63-38 at halftime.

"We played very poorly in the first half," Westminster head coach Matt Mitchell said. "Greenville is very difficult to prepare for and we lost our composure in the first halfOur decision-making against their press was poor early but got better as the game progressed."

Junior forward Stu Hollandsworth directed six Blue Jays in double figures with 18 points as Westminster shot 47 percent (40-of-86) from the field. Senior guard Zach Nelson totaled 16 points, while junior guard Jimmy Villalobos and sophomore guard Carter Wands came up with 12 apiece.

Junior forward Romo Tabb came up with 11 points and junior center Sean O'Brien added 10.

Hollandsworth also brought down a game-high 10 rebounds to help Westminster dominate the boards 61-35.

Shane Smith paced the Panthers with a game-high 21 points. Elmo Smith score 16 points, while Kenny Greene scored 15. Ethan Leib and Michael Hohm came up with 12 points apiece, Kieshaun Young-Jones put up 11 and Johari Dix added 10.

Westminster hosts a SLIAC game against Webster at 3 p.m. Saturday.
