Riddle leading state Senate District 10 race

Sen. Jeanie Riddle, R-Mokane, appeared to be winning an easy re-election Tuesday.

The final totals for the race for Missouri’s state Senate District 10 race were unavailable as of press time Tuesday. The district represents portions of Audrain, Callaway, Lincoln, Monroe, Montgomery and Warren counties. Election results were final in all of the counties, except for Warren County.

At 11:15 p.m., with 79 of 103 precincts reporting, incumbent Riddle led Democratic challenger Ayanna Shivers. Riddle had 38,738 votes (70.42 percent) to 16,271 votes (29.57 percent) for Shivers, according to the Missouri Secretary of State’s website.

In final unofficial Callaway County voting results, Riddle secured 12,166 votes (71.47 percent) as opposed to Shivers’ 4,855 (28.52 percent).

Unofficial final Audrain County results showed Riddle with 6,160 votes (71.62 percent) and Shivers with 2,440 votes (28.37 percent). In Lincoln County, the final unofficial totals showed Riddle with 14,625 votes (69.31 percent) and Shivers with 6,476 votes (30.69 percent). In Monroe County, Riddle got 2,674 votes (74.03 percent) to 938 for Shivers (25.96 percent). In Montgomery County, Riddle got 3,572 votes (77.26 percent) to 1,051 for Shivers (22.73 percent).
