Known gang member caught with drugs

A Jefferson City man who authorities said is a known gang member has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Noah Cohen, 22, was seen Monday evening walking away from a parked car on the lot of the Missouri Department of Revenue Office on Jefferson Street, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

Cohen was taken into custody because he had an active warrant from Maries County for his arrest. He also has pending weapons charges from Cole County.

Officers used a K-9 unit to search Cohen's vehicle, and the dog found a bowl in the back seat containing 13 bags of marijuana weighing nearly 25 grams. Also found were two digital scales and several small bags used to package narcotics for sale. In the trunk of the vehicle officers found a pump action 12-gauge shotgun with six rounds.
