Morrison woman burned in domestic violence case

Osage County authorities are continuing to investigate a domestic violence incident that occurred Monday evening.

Sheriff's department reports show deputies were dispatched to a vehicle fire on County Road 275, near Morrison.

The victim was reported to be April Hagen, 39, an Osage County resident.

The initial investigation showed while sitting in a vehicle, Hagen accidentally ignited herself on fire, witnesses said, due to fuel having been spread earlier.

She was transported to a local area hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Columbia.

Authorities said Tuesday afternoon Hagen was in serious condition and they had not been able to talk to her about what happened.
