Elementary school fundraiser begins

The Fulton Public Schools Foundation is once again offering Major Saver cards for sale through the Fulton elementary schools.

Students received the sales packets Friday and will be selling the $10 discount cards until Wednesday, March 16.

Proceeds from the sale of Major Saver cards directly support the participating schools and the activities of the Fulton Public Schools Foundation. Last year, the Fulton Public Schools Foundation and participating schools raised over $11,000 through the sale of the cards. Those funds went directly into classroom grants to teachers in the school district to enhance the learning experiences of Fulton's students.

Participants on this year's card are Beks, YMCA, C&R Market, Subway, Brooklyn Pizza, McDonald's, Playhouse Bistro, Family Video, Sonic, Bronzed Beautiful, Iron Skillet, Lulu's, Pizza Hut, 1851 Underground, Saults, Dairy Queen, Jalisco, Fulton Diner & Studio 7.

Major Saver cards can be purchased online at www.majorsaver.com. The sale can be credited back to a particular student. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer. Prizes and credit to the student will be done by the end of the campaign.

Major Saver stresses safe selling and discourages door to door campaigning. The company encourages students to sell to parents, grandparents, church patrons, other adults the family may know; and to always make sure their parents are involved.
