Second public meeting for Osage Beach Parkway West Development Study set for Dec. 7

A second public workshop in a series of public meetings planned to craft a Parkway West Development Plan is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Osage Beach City Hall.

According to a news release from the city of Osage Beach, interested parties are encouraged to attend the meeting anytime between 6-8 p.m. An interactive presentation will begin at approximately 6:15 p.m.

The results of the Nov. 9 public meeting have been folded into a detailed plan of action for the study, and the public's help is needed to review and refine these details in preparation for the next phase of the planning process, the news release said.

At the Nov. 9 meeting, the public expressed a strong interest in a study that would examine ways to better market, physically improve and increase economic development opportunities on the west side of the city. This meeting will focus on a series of six goals distilled from the previous meeting along with the consultant's scope for achieving those goals, according to the news release.

For those who are not able to attend the meeting in person, a copy of the meeting handouts, including a comment form, will be online on the city's website at www.osagebeach.org.

The public will have 14 days after the meeting to submit comments, which are due by Dec. 21. Comments can be made at the meeting, emailed to [email protected] or mailed to HDR, Attn: Christopher Kinzel, 4435 Main Street, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64111.
