MOKANE, Mo. -- A South Callaway High School student was arrested Thursday for harassment.
Investigators with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andrew Buckner, 17, of Fulton
According to sheriff’s department reports, an investigation was launched on February 5 concerning the posting of a Facebook webpage termed, “South Callaway Sexiest.â€
The webpage contained numerous images of female South Callaway High School students with references to several derogatory, offensive, and sexual terms.
Over the course of two months, investigators followed-up on numerous leads and obtained several court orders to assist in identifying the author of the webpage and subsequent content.
Authorities said cyber based investigations are many times complex and can be lengthy due to the need for court orders to be obtained and served upon various Internet hosts and providers.
Buckner was released from the Callaway County Jail pending a court appearance.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.
