A Portland man was killed a rollover accident on Highway 94 east of Route D early Wednesday morning.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, Daniel Acosta, 55, of Portland was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:12 a.m.
The report states Acosta over corrected when his vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway on a curve, sending his Suburban off the left side of the road, down an embankment and into a tree before it overturned. He was wearing his seat belt at the time.
According to the report, this is Troop F's sixth fatality for this month and 21st for the year.
