Four people suffered injuries in a I-70 crash from earlier today, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Ashley Lovell, 27, of New Cazwell, Tenn. suffered from moderate injuries from the accident, and Damon Lovell, 2, and Zander Lovell, also of New Cazwell sustained minor injuries. Chronister Lawrence, 40, of St. Louis left the crash with minor injuries.
Eastbound traffic on I-70 between Columbia and Fulton was slow as crews cleanup an accident involving a small tanker truck.
Fulton Sun employees on scene reported seeing the right lane of eastbound I-70 traffic closed and a tow truck preparing to haul away the truck about 4:15 p.m. today. They reported Callaway County EMTs on the scene at one time, but have since left.
The tanker truck was on its side facing west with the driver's side smashed. The accident occurred a little more than one-half mile east of the Millersburg exit - near mile marker 138.
The tanker has markings on it for CPS -Â Commercial Pumping Services based in St. Charles. CPS removes and hauls waste from grease traps, fryer oils, car wash pits and cabling/drain cleaning, according to its website commercialpumping.com.
An RV was also involved in the accident.
