Greenville blitzed Westminster for 10 runs in the second inning to down the Lady Blue Jays 14-2 in five innings of the second game of a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Saturday. Westminster fell in the day's first game 6-1.
The Lady Blue Jays (7-7, 4-2) got a scoreless bottom of the first inning from freshman starter Alyson Hahn, but Greenville pitcher Becca Oldham roped a two-run homer to right field. The Lady Panthers (13-5, 6-0) tacked on eight more that frame and totaling six of their 10 hits.

GREENVILLE, Ill. - Three Blue Jays finished with two hits, but Westminster was unable to edge out the Panthers for the series win in the nightcap of a SLIAC doubleheader on Saturday.
The Blue Jays (9-5, 3-3) trailed 3-0 after four innings, but responded with four runs on four hits in the top of the fifth to grab a one-run advantage. Junior third baseman Tyler Branneky and senior shortstop Danton Hughes started the frame with back-to-back singles.

Emme, Zink shine for WWU
at Washington University
ST. LOUIS - Redshirt junior Madeline Emme qualified for nationals while junior Nick Zink won the 400-meter dash to highlight William Woods' final day at the Washington University Invitational on Saturday.
Emme earned a spot in her third consecutive NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championship, hitting the "B' standard in the 100-meter hurdles. Emme clocked a time of 14.96 seconds to finish in fifth place and become the second Lady Owl to qualify for the national meet this weekend. Junior Lee Anna Sanders earned a spot at the outdoor championships in the 10,000-meter run on Friday.
Westminster's Bade a highlight at Washington University
ST. LOUIS - Freshman Rachel Bade finished 24th in the 400-meter dash at the Washington University Invitational on Saturday.
Bade completed her run in a time of 1 minute, 4.59 seconds. Junior Danielle Smulczenski took 36th in the same race with a time of 1:07.21 while TJ Tijuzka finished 63rd in the men's 400 with a result of :56.02.
