DIXON - Senior forward Victoria Langley accounted for Fulton's lone score as the Lady Hornets soccer team opened its season with a 4-1 loss to Dixon on Friday night.
Fulton jumped out to a 1-0 advantage when Langley tallied an unassisted goal in the 9th minute of the first half. Dixon tied the match in the 24th minute, then went in front to stay with a goal 3 minutes later. The Lady Bulldogs padded their lead with goals in the 12th and 27th minutes of the second half.

KINGDOM CITY - North Callaway will play host to the sixth-annual Eastern Missouri Conference Senior Showcase games Friday night.
The girls' matchup will start at 6 p.m., followed by a 3-point contest that will crown girls', boys' and overall champions, and then the boys' game.

Defensive lapses tormented the Hornets as they committed seven errors in suffering their 33rd straight American Midwest Conference loss dating back to the 2012 season.
