Fulton police arrest man for possible cocaine, meth

A Fulton man was arrested for drug possession and a Fayette man was taken into custody at the same residence Wednesday for illegally possessing a gun.

At 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, Fulton Police Department and MUSTANG drug task force executed a search warrant at 1416 Monroe Street - the residence of Brent Wade Teel - in Fulton. During the search, authorities found a white powder substance believed to be cocaine; a clear, crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine and numerous items believed to be drug paraphernalia, a press release from FPD stated.

Teel, 43, was arrested for three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail on a $14,000 bond.

While searching the house, Steve L. Neal, 58, of Fayette was there, the release stated, and he had a semi-automatic handgun in his possession. Neal was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Neal pleaded guilty in 2006 for theft/stealing property valued $500-$25,000, which is a felony. He also pleaded guilty in 2006 to felony first-degree property damage.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending, the press release stated.
