Nine days after Hermann sunk North Callaway 56-53 on a desperation 3-pointer from halfcourt at the buzzer, the Ladybirds got another crack at the Ladybirds in the championship of the South Callaway Invitational Tournament.
And it was a different result - just not the one North Callaway wanted. In the second showdown between the two Class 3-ranked teams, the second-seeded Ladybirds' disastrous shooting night washed away any notion of an upset as they fell to top-ranked and top-seeded Hermann 47-20 on Saturday night.
