Campaign finance quarterly reports were due yesterday for the three local candidates looking to earn state spots this year.
Among those, state Rep. Jeanie Riddle, R-Mokane, has raised the most - substantially so - with $203,150.08 on hand at the reporting period's end. She plans to run for for Missouri Senate District 10.
Her Democratic opponent for the spot, according to the Missouri Ethics Commission, is Ed Schieffer, D-Troy. He has $9,789.09 on hand, according to his January report.
The Ameren Missouri PAC committee donated $10,000 to Riddle at the end of October. The Grow Missouri Coalition also donated $3,500 to Riddle's campaign. Grow Missouri was formed in June 2013 to support the veto override of House Bill 253 which would have made income tax cuts. The Missouri Independant Bankers Association donated $3,000 to Riddle.
Riddle's money on hand the past year, according to reports:

Riddle has been endorsing her potential replacement for Missouri House District 49 - Travis Fitzwater of Holts Summit.The 49th district covers the central and southern portion of Callaway County.
Fitzwater's January report states he has $23,439.98 on hand. He received a $5,000 independant donation from Clyde Lear, retired resident of Lohman. Pro Food Systems, a wholesale distributor in Holts Summit, gave Fitzwater's campaign $1,000. He also received a $250 donation from the Ameren Missouri PAC committee.
State politicians were also generous to Fitzwater. His January report states committees for Mike Kehoe, Ed Emery, Caleb Rowden, Tim Remole, Caleb Jones, David Sater and Tom Dempsey each donated between $200 to $500 to Fitzwater. Riddle gave $500 independant of her committee.
In October 2012, Fitzwater had $1,084.87 on hand and started started 2013 with $392.47, reports show. His money on hand totaled to $9,143.81 in July 2013 and was $8,599.63 in October.
State Rep. Jay Houghton, R-Martinsburg, is running for re-election in Missouri House District 43, which encompasses northern and eastern Callaway County as well as all of Audrain County. His January report shows $11,179.93 on hand.
Houghton received funds from state representatives Caleb Jones ($1,000) and Todd Richardson ($500) and House Majority Floor Leader John Diehl ($500). The Ameren Missouri PAC committee gave Houghton $500.
