WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - Junior third baseman Caroline Sicht hit a grand slam and drove in five runs to fuel William Woods' triumph in the nightcap of an American Midwest Conference doubleheader against the Lady Eagles on Friday night.
The Lady Owls (33-15, 19-2 American Midwest Conference) closed out their regular season with a doubleheader at Lyon (Ark.) College, but results were not available at press time.
Sicht went 2-for-3 with her five RBIs and a run scored. Her grand slam in the bottom of the third put William Woods on top 5-2 and she followed with an RBI single in the fifth.

ST. LOUIS - Sophomore Alyson Hahn pitched a five-hit shutout as the Lady Blue Jays triumphed over the Lady Gorloks in the nightcap of a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Thursday.
Hahn (4-7) scattered five hits and walked two while striking out three in snapping Westminster's five-game losing skid.
The Lady Blue Jays (12-20, 9-7 SLIAC) plated the decisive run with two outs in the top of the first on senior first baseman Rai'an Harris' RBI single to drive in freshman right fielder Briana Peterson.

in 4x400-relay at Mule Relays
WARRENSBURG - The foursome of seniors Tanner Edwards and Terrell Shannon, junior Nick Zink and redshirt freshman Rhett Cook eclipsed the NAIA "A' standard in the 4x400-meter relay at the University of Central Missouri Mule Relays on Friday.
The quartet ran a first-place time of 3 minutes, 15.96 seconds, besting the standard by 0.4 seconds and earning its second-straight bid to the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. This same lineup earned All-American honors in the same event at last year's outdoor nationals and at this year's indoor national meet.
ST. LOUIS - The No. 2 seed Blue Jays logged their lone win in No. 3 doubles in falling to the top-seeded Panthers in the SLIAC men's tennis tournament championship on Saturday at Westminster Christian Academy.
Freshman Scott Strough (Fulton) teamed with sophomore Kyle Collins to top Principia's team of Andrew Rohrer and Aaron Switzer 8-3 as Westminster ends its season at 4-10.
