Hornets look to take out first-loss anger on Owls

Fulton Hornets head football coach Pat Kelley was pretty blunt about the mood of his team following last week's 43-7 thumping at the hands of the state-ranked Moberly Spartans.

"Our locker room was not a good place to be Friday night after the game and I talked to them about, "Do you want that again?'" Kelley said Wednesday afternoon. "It's one game and it showed we still have some work to do.

"I asked them if on Aug. 12 (the start of fall practice) if I said we'd be 3-1 after four games, what would they have said, and I think everyone in the locker room would have taken that."

Putting that loss - the Hornets' first of the season - behind them begins tonight when Fulton hosts the Marshall Owls in a North Central Missouri Conference tilt at Robert E. Fisher Jr. Stadium. Kickoff is at 7.
