About 30 U.S. military veterans were honored Sunday during the Celebrate America event in New Bloomfield.

With 100 American flags flying nearby, all veterans attending the event were introduced at the event.

The Adorable Legs Contest at the New Bloomfield Celebrate America event raised $195 for the Central Missouri Honor Flight program that flies World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans to Washington, D. C. to tour veterans memorials.

The winner of the Adorable Legs Contest was Art Rice, president of the New Bloomfield Civic Association. He raised the most money for the Honor Flight program.
