New Bloomfield junior Brooke Kelley shot a 28-over-par-99 to finish in a five-way tie for 43rd in the first round of the Class 1 state golf championships at Sedalia Country Club on Monday.
Jessica Dreesbeimdieke of Westminster Christian Academy leads with a 1-over-par 72 and John Burroughs leads the team standings with a cumulative score of 342.
Kelley begins her final round from the first tee today at 9:15 a.m.
