No. 6 'Dogs bounce back with blowout

MOKANE - The state-ranked South Callaway Bulldogs returned to their winning routine in emphatic fashion.

South Callaway senior tailback Zach Marty and junior tailback Cory Hanger both ran for two touchdowns and the Bulldogs - ignited by a 36-point explosion in the second quarter - bounced back from their first loss of the season by demolishing Cuba 51-14 on Friday night.

South Callaway, which slipped two spots to No. 6 in Class 2 last week after its 38-33 loss at Class 4 (Columbia) Battle on Oct. 4, raised its season record to 6-1. The loss was the fourth in a row for Cuba, which fell to 1-6.
