A Mokane woman is dead after her vehicle went off the road and she was ejected from it Friday night.
Kimberly D. Leisinger, 39, of Mokane, was driving west on State Route O, less than a half mile east of Route CC, in Callaway County a little after 9 p.m. Friday when she went off the right side of the road in her 1997 Chevrolet Blazer, according to a preliminary accident report from the Missouri Highway Patrol. Leisinger then overcorrected in trying to return to the road, causing the Blazer to roll off the left side of the road and coming to a stop in a ditch.
Leisinger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the SUV, according to the highway patrol. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Boone County Medical Examiner's office.
