The Newcomer-McCue House has been in Nancy McCue's family since 1922.

For the 15th year in a row, the Fulton Heritage Trust will spruce up Callaway County's Christmas spirit with a bit of history.

The Heritage Trusts' Victorian Christmas homes tour returns Dec. 7, highlighting five local historic homes before shuttling visitors to the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury for an evening of music.

The tour portion runs from 5-7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $10 at the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society, the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce and Auto World Museum - Cornerstone Antiques will sell tickets the day of the event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Fulton Heritage Trust President Vicki Backer McDaniel said that the tour has become an expected part of Fulton's Christmas celebrations, and that the "community seems to enjoy it as kind of a nifty piece of Christmas."

"It's not quite as commercial as some things," Backer McDaniel said. "People do their own decorating, they're not trying to be overly showing. I think that's nice, we don't expect them to do anything special ... just welcome their friends and neighbors to have a peek at their lovely home."

Last year's tour, which highlighted antebellum homes around Fulton, drew a record attendance of 335. This year's highlighted homes are turn-of-the-century dwellings in or around Fulton's historic downtown.
