Junior Grant Gaines ran a time of 18 minutes, 17.40 seconds, good for 13th place at the Class 3, District 5 cross country meet at Howard Hills Sports Complex last Saturday. Gaines' result qualifies him for this week's Class 3 state championships at the Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City.
