Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest two on meth charges

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the Fulton Police Department arrested two Fulton men Tuesday after a deputy observed a stolen vehicle at a residence west of town.

At approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday, the law enforcement agencies responded to a residence at Sullivan Drive, west of Fulton, in an attempt to locate Shane W. Vandelicht, 22. Vandelicht was suspected of stealing a vehicle from a Fulton tow company, and a deputy patrolling the area spotted the vehicle on the property.

Vandelicht was found hiding in a shop building and was taken into custody. After that time, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and glass smoking pipes.

As of Tuesday evening Vandelicht is still in custody at the Callaway County Jail. He faces charges of possession of meth, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, tampering with a vehicle and three outstanding warrants stemming from a vehicle pursuit with FPD. He is held on $13,000 cash-only bond.

Potter faces charges of possession of meth and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $5,000 bond.
