Free tours at the National Churchill Museum in Fulton will be offered to Central Missouri hospitality and tourism industry representatives starting Saturday through May 12.

Rob Havers, museum executive director, said the tours will be offered during Travel and Tourism Week to representatives of hotels, restaurants and other tourist attractions.

"They are the ones who make recommendations to tourists passing through about where they should stop on their journey," Havers said, "After they have toured the museum, we believe they will tell visitors this is a "must see' during their time in Missouri."

Havers said examples of people qualifying for free admission to the museum during this period are Chamber of Commerce and tourism officials, convention and visitor bureau officials and staff, destination marketing organizations, hotel, motel and bed and breakfast operators and their staffs, as well as restaurant owners and members of their staffs.

To receive free admission, hospitality or tourism workers should be able to show some identification that ties them to the travel and tourism industry such as an employee photo identification card, pay stub or business card.
