An Auxvasse man wanted on failure to appear charges for a recent rash of burglaries in Auxvasse found himself back in jail facing the same charges Friday.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Office responded to a call 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Cherry Street in Auxvasse, where it was reported that Jacob R. Moore, 18, reportedly entered the residence late Monday or early Tuesday and stole an Xbox. Two residents were home during the burglary. Moore was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and two counts of stealing a value of less than $500.
Moore also had two outstanding warrants for failure to appear on original charges of second-degree burglary and one count of failure to appear on original Fulton charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The burglary charges came from September 2012 arrests in which he and two other Auxvasse teens had been arrested for several burglaries in the area in a joint investigation between the sheriff's office and the Auxvasse Police Department.
Moore currently is held in the Callaway County Jail on $68,200 bond.
