The Missouri Ethics Commission has filed a consent order against Callaway County Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst and the Committee to Elect Randall Kleindienst for violations against the state's Campaign Finance Disclosure Law.
According to documents filed by the ethics commission, a complaint was filed against Kleindienst and the Committee to Elect Randall Kleindienst alleging that they had failed to report an in-kind contribution and also failed to report advertising expenditures with the newspaper.
The Joint Proposed Findings of Fact state that "Respondents failed to timely report an in-kind contribution for website creation and maintenance. This website was donated to Respondent Kleindienst by his sister-in-law and should have been reported as an in-kind contribution. ... Respondents failed to timely report expenditures to the Fulton Sun newspaper for campaign advertisements. Respondent paid for 10 advertisement runs at a total cost of $1,295.35.
"...There is probable cause to believe that Respondent Kleindienst violated Sections 130.04.1(3) and 130.041.1(4), RSMo, by failing to timely report in-kind contributions and expenditures, and that Respondent Kleindienst did so knowingly."
