Santos, Lady Owls rally to reach Sweet 16

Priscila Santos humbly deferred all credit, while William Woods University head coach Dan Chapla noted that her dazzling performance transcended description.

The junior guard was responsible for almost half of William Woods' output late Wednesday night in the first round of the 33rd-annual NAIA Division I women's national tournament. Santos delivered a career-high 37 points in helping the No. 6 seed Lady Owls topple No. 3 MidAmerica (Kan.) Nazarene University 79-75 at Frankfort Civic Center.
