Cameron Peterson, a Fulton Middle School student, is among seven Central Missouri students who plan to visit seven nations this summer on a guided European trip supervised by the People to People organization.
The cost of the trip is about $7,000 for each of the seven youngsters and all of them are scrambling to raise money for their trip.
In addition to Peterson, the other Central Missouri middle school youngsters making the trip this July are Grace Twehous, Jefferson City; Madison Ratcliff, California; Kaitlyn Bland, Vienna; Lacey Nickerson, Columbia; Brianna Evans, Higbee; and Olivia Sparks, Brunswick.
Cameron's mother, Susan Peterson, is a science teacher at the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton.
"The youngsters will appreciate the trip more if they raise the money themselves," Peterson said.
