A New Bloomfield man is in custody after Callaway County Sheriff's Deputies observed him
driving on a revoked license and found him to be illegally in possession of a weapon Friday.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., deputies observed Ryan W. Kirk, 19, driving on State Road AA. They know Kirk had a revoked driver's license and conducted a traffic stop.
Over the course of the investigation, deputies found Kirk - who is currently on probation for second degree burglary and second degree assault, both felonies - to be in possession of a loaded rifle. He was arrested for driving while revoked and unlawful possession of a firearm.
As of Friday afternoon, Kirk was in custody at the Callaway County Jail on $4,800 bond.
