Accident closes F overpass

The Route F overpass crossing U.S. Highway 54 was closed temporarily around 6 p.m. Thursday after the east-bound lane was blocked by a two-vehicle accident between an older Ford pickup and a 2000s GMC 1500. The drivers and passengers of both trucks said they were uninjured and refused ambulance treatment, although the Ford was leaking antifreeze and needed to be towed. Fulton Fire officials directed traffic and ensured safety while the Fulton Police Department investigated.
