The Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested three adult teens this week, accusing them of stealing all-terrain vehicles.
Arrested and charged are:
• Ethan Dwayne Lomas, 18, Fulton, who faces one felony burglary charge, two felony stealing motor vehicle charges, two felony tampering charges, one misdemeanor stealing charge, and one misdemeanor stealing charge of property damage. Lomas is currently on probation after a guilty plea in May on a property damage charge, according to online court records. He was also fined by the Missouri Department of Conservation for pursuing/taking/killing/possessing or disposing of wildlife illegally, which is a misdemeanor. A warrant was served for his arrest on the ATV case on Wednesday, he does not have a court date scheduled yet, according to docket entries online. He is currently in custody in the Callaway County Jail, according to online records.
• Joshua Sartin, 18, of Callaway County, who faces one felony burglary charge, two felony stealing charges, and one misdemeanor property damage charge. A warrant was issued and served on Tuesday. After posting bond, Sartin has a court date scheduled for Aug. 9.
• Dylan S. Sanford, 19, Tebbetts, who faces one felony tampering charge and two stealing charges. A warrant for Sanford was issued Thursday. Sanford pleaded guilty three years ago to unlawfully operating an ATV on a highway, he was fined $30.50, online court records show. He is also on probation for tampering with a motor vehicle charge in 2012. He was arrested earlier this year by Fulton Police Department for a property damage charge. He is currently in custody in the Callaway County Jail, according to online records.
Lomas and Sartin are accused of stealing a 2004 Honda 350 ATV and a Yamaha 220 ATV from Smart Brothers Farm in the Tebbetts area Tuesday night. They also are accused of property damage at the farm by breaking into a door at Smart Brothers Farm.
Lomas also is accused of tampering with a Yamaha Bigbear 350 ATV that was abandoned while still running when a wheel fell off. The ATV is owned by Charles Meyer, who said it was stolen from a shop building on his farm on County Road 470.
Sanford is accused of stealing a green Polaris 700 ATV owned by William Frank of New Bloomfield, and a red Polaris 400 EX ATV owned by Andrew Felkner on County Road 438, Fulton.
