A two-year-old Holts Summit boy, Brennan P. Reynolds, died Friday evening after he was struck by a vehicle.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Mary D. Foster, 54, Holts Summit, hit the toddler at 6:30 p.m. Friday while pulling into a private driveway in her 2003 Ford Explorer.
The accident occurred on County Road 385, about 1.3 miles south of Route AA near Holts Summit.
Holts Summit Fire Protection District volunteers were called to assist the Callaway County Ambulance Service in establishing a landing zone for the Staff for Life helicopter that was dispatched to the accident.
Dori Burke, an investigator for the Boone/Callaway Medical Examiners Office, pronounced the victim dead at the landing zone.
The body was transported to the Boone/Callaway Medical Examiners Office.
