Forbes magazine has honored Central Bancompany, which operates in Fulton as Central Bank, as one of America's Best Banks.
It marked the fourth consecutive year Central Bancompany has received the honor.
Forbes magazine awarded the rating its annual review of the nation's 100 largest financial institutions.
Central Bancompany, which is based in Jefferson City, ranked 23rd in the Forbes 2013 survey.
Brian Cook, Central Bancompany president and chief executive officer, said the bank is "deeply gratified and honored that for the fourth consecutive year, Forbes has selected our family of 13 community banks among the Top 25 Best Big Banks In America."
Cook said the honor is possible because of the "professionalism and positive, can-do, customer-centric focus of our more than 2,500 employees and our loyal customers throughout the communities we serve."
