The William Woods University Owls sustained their best conference start in the program's history with a prolific effort.
Five players reached double figures and William Woods equalled a school record for offensive output as the sizzling Owls demolished Williams Baptist (Ark.) College 103-55 in an American Midwest Conference blowout Tuesday night at Anderson Arena.
The victory was the fifth in a row for William Woods, which evened its season record at 9-9 while moving to 5-0 in the AMC for the first time. The Owls shot a blistering 59 percent (20-of-34) in the first half and surged into halftime with an imposing 56-26 lead.
