Holts Summit veterinarian honored

Known for work in training dogs

Dr. Mar Doering, a Holts Summit veterinarian who also is regarded as an expert in training dogs with behavior problems, has been inducted into the Missouri Veterinary Medical Foundation's Veterinary Honor Roll.

Doering hosted a weekly public television program "The Pet Connection - With Dr. Mar Doering."

In 1979 Doering received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri. The next year she founded the Animal Clinic of South Callaway and has practiced as a veterinarian in Central Missouri for the last 32 years.

In addition to operating a small animal veterinary clinic, Doering served as public information director and urban extension veterinarian for the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine from 1983 to 1984.
