No. 2 seed North Callaway scored the game's first 15 points, easily dispatching the No. 7 Winfield Lady Warriors in the first round of the Class 3, District 6 tournament on Monday night.
The Ladybirds (16-9) ended the first quarter up 17-2 and were never in any danger as they cruised to a 27-8 halftime lead. Junior guard Jaida Gray tallied 15 points and five steals to lead North Callaway while junior forward Maddie Sorell added 13 points.
Junior forward Tara Oberlag scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds while junior guard Kelsey Coil didn't register a point, but did hand out a team-high five assists in the Ladybirds' second-straight win.
