The rim had other plans, though.
"It just wasn't meant to be," Lady Hornet head coach TJ Quick said. "She barely missed it."
Brandt scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds, but Fulton came up a basket short in a 47-45 loss to the Kirksville Lady Tigers in Thursday night's North Central Missouri Conference opener at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.
