Fulton council meets tonight with public hearing on annexation

The Fulton City Council will meet tonight, beginning with a work session at at 6:30 p.m., followed by a public hearing and its regular meeting at 7:30.

The work session will cover proposed updates to the city's employee handbook. Suggested alterations include changes to the police and fire department pay schedules, implementation of a standby system for employees in applicable departments who have been trained to handle emergency out-calls and changes to the city's unpaid leave policy.

The public hearing will consider the proposed annexation of a five-acre lot near County Road 302 and State Road F, owned by Amanda and Michael Holland, into city limits. The Hollands have petitioned the city to annex the lot, much of which is adjacent to current city limits.
