North Callaway sophomore pitcher Paul Zerr threw a complete game and knocked in the go-ahead run in the T-Birds 6-4 victory over the South Callaway Bulldogs on Monday night. The win was North Callaway's second in a row while it snapped the Bulldogs' eight-game spurt. Zerr pitched allowed three earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven batters. From the plate, Zerr was 1-of-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
"He got through a really shaky inning and pitched a really good game," T-Birds head coach Kevin O'Neal said.
