The Fulton Farmers Market will be moving once again.

This time the market is moving from Sutherland's to Fifth Street in front of the Callaway County Courthouse between Market and Court streets.

The first market at the new location will be on May 4. The market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. They will remain at Sutherland's on Wednesdays from 3:30-6 p.m.

The move to Fifth Street was prompted by an invitation from the Brick District.

"There was a lot of skepticism amongst the group because we just moved last year and they were afraid to move again," said Joan Schwede, market president. "But after all the pros and cons were weighed it was not unanimous, but it was a majority vote (to move)."
