Following Kiwanis tradition, the Fulton Kiwanis Club is hosting a pancake day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 19 in McKee Dining Hall at the Missouri School for the Deaf.

For a fee of $6 for adults and $3 for children, participants can enjoy pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice and milk.

Proceeds from the benefit will go toward college scholarships, Boy's State, Girl's State, Boy Scout Troup 50, Cub Scout Pack 52 and SERVE. Other proceeds will go toward helping other local nonprofit organizations.

"The Kiwanis Club doesn't send the money out of our area," said Mary Martin, treasurer for the Fulton Kiwanis Club. "We help the local schools...with scholarships. We keep all of our money [locally] and that's why we do our events locally."
