Charles Pardon is working double duty April 20.
The Holts Summit Community Betterment Association board member is also putting his auctioneering experience to good use when the HSCBA holds their annual fundraising auction, 10 a.m. at the Holts Summit Lions Club. Doors open at 9.
Pardon said the group decided to start the auction about four years ago to help bring in more funds that the group will put towards Holts Summit's community and schools.
"It's done very well every year so far," said Pardon. "It'll make us $3,000 to $4,000, because everything we auction off is donated, so we really don't have any overhead. It's been real good for us."
Typically held in March, this year's auction was postponed to give more time to donate items. It will include a wide-screen TV, furniture, exercise equipment and gift certificates.
