Banged-up Hornets brace for clash against Pirates

Thursday's practice for the Fulton Hornets was heavier on players in street clothes than head coach Pat Kelley might like. The three injured Hornets loom larger when considering tonight's opponent - the undefeated state-ranked Hannibal Pirates.

"If we're 100-percent healthy, it's still a tough task with Hannibal coming in," Kelley said.

Fulton and Hannibal - tied for No. 6 in Class 4 - square off in their North Central Missouri Conference contest at 7 tonight at Robert E. Fisher Jr. Stadium.

The Hornets (0-5, 0-2 NCMC) will be without junior running back-linebacker Kegan Lee (sprained left knee), sophomore defensive back Noah Braun (concussion) and junior linebacker Cole Kettle (broken wrist).
